The 2nd Amendment Is America’s First Responder.

According to Section 2 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. § 101). The phrase "First Responder" refers to those individuals who in the early stages of an incident are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, and the environment.

As citizens of our great nation, our right to own and use firearms is an integral part of civic responsibility to protect ourselves, our families, our homes, our religion, and our community.

Local law enforcement does a great job everyday. However, in the event of an unexpected man-made or natural disaster or in the event of an intruder bent on doing harm our role as a first responder is crystal clear. Fortunately, the solution is in our hand.

In a gunfight, our role as a first responder is not only clear, it’s vital. By the numbers, the average gunfight is an exchange of three rounds within three yards and is over in three seconds.

Clearly, no law enforcement in the world can save you at the moment of your greatest need; the need to save your life.

Owning a firearm is important. Equally important, is knowing how to use it. However, it is most important, to be mentally prepared for the day you may need to use a firearm.
